Fees
Therapy Fees
The current (2026) fee is $240 per 50 minute session.
Assessment Fees
The fee for an assessment depends on the amount of time required to conduct the assessment. The duration of an assessment is determined by the testing required to address the presenting concerns.
Please complete the contact form or request an appointment form with your reason for referral in order to receive the assessment fee and payment structure.
Assessments are charged at $240 per hour, averaging 8 to 12 hours per assessment (2026).
Medicare
To be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate for a psychology session, a referral from a GP, Psychiatrist or a Paediatrician is needed dated before, or on the day of, your first appointment. Please bring this referral with you to your first session or email it beforehand.
A standard consultation is 50 minutes and costs $240 (2026). The Medicare rebate if eligible with a referral is approximately $90.
Fees are payable on the day of appointment.
- Mental Health care Plan (MHCP)
Supporting those eligible with up to 10 Medicare rebated sessions per year
- Eating Disorder Plan (EDP)
Supporting those eligible with up to 20 Medicare rebated sessions per year
NDIS
Cherilee Botha Psychology provides supports to NDIS participants.
Fees are charged within NDIS rates, currently $232.99 per consultation (2026).
Cherilee will explore your support goals and tailor intervention to increase your capacity, independence and movement towards those goals while ensuring that you have choice and control.
We will collaborate to set up a support plan that aligns with your NDIS plan.
A service agreement will be setup, which will include discussion of your goals and plan budget.
Psychology services form part of capacity building suports.
Services provided outside of NDIS plans are charged at private practice rates, should a participant no longer be eligible for NDIS but wish to continue supports.
Workcover
Session fees processed at Workcover rates.
Services proivided outside of this are charged at private practice rates.
EAP
Session fees processed at EAP rates.
Services proivided outside of this are charged at private practice rates.
Fee Changes
Session fees fall within APS recommended rates.
Fees increase annually, effective from 01 July each year.
